You will be screened to ensure you meet the group criteria below.

​

Who qualifies for early vaccination?  

• Adults aged 65 and older

• Children aged 6 months to 4 years

• Pregnant individuals

• People with certain chronic medical conditions or weakened immune systems.

• First Nations, Metis and Inuit individuals First Nations, Metis and Inuit individuals 

• Residents of long-term care, retirement homes and other congregate living settings. 

• Health-care workers, first responders and other designated priority groups.

Flu Shot Appointments - on some other days, you may be eligible to book your flu shot with the nurses on duty. Please call for an appointment with the Mount Dennis Weston Team at 416-763-1171.

​Together with the Humber River Family Health Team, we aim to provide you access to receiving the Flu shots.

​

We encourage patients to get flu shots, particularly our high-risk patients. High risk patients include patients under age 5 or over age 65, pregnant patients and obese patients. Also, patients who have diabetes, chronic lung disease, asthma, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease or cancer are at higher risk of developing complications from the flu.​

We are fully supportive of you obtaining a flu shot from your pharmacy if it is more convenient. Please let us know when you have it done so that we can update your records.
